Every two years, the Asia Cup is held between cricketing nations in the region, and is extremely popular with Indian cricket fans. Our Asia Cup betting guide provides an overview of the upcoming tournament, some of the best cricket betting sites, its detailed schedule, and the most competitive odds.
You’re probably already familiar with some of the world’s top cricket tournaments such as the IPL, the ODI Cricket World Cup, and the T20 World Cup if you’re a die-hard fan. As exciting as any other tournament, the upcoming Asia Cup also belongs to the same league. Fans rally behind the teams in this tournament. The match between India and Pakistan on August 28 will surely be the cherry on top.
It is viewed as a precursor to this year’s T20 World Cup, which will be played later this year. The Asia Cup will eventually feature six teams, five of which have automatically qualified – Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. A qualifier round will be held between the UAE, Kuwait, Hong Kong, and Singapore to determine the sixth team.
In 2018, India won the ODI edition of the Asia Cup played in the UAE.
For the 2023 Asia Cup, the T20 format has been retained since the 2020 edition was cancelled due to the pandemic.
Originally, Sri Lanka was supposed to host the tournament in 2023. Because of the economic and political challenges facing the country at this time, the ACC officially decided to hold the event in the UAE on July 27. However, Sri Lanka still holds the hosting rights.
As planned, the Asia Cup 2023 will take place from August 27 to September 11 as scheduled.
Scheduled from: 31st August to September 17
Number of teams: 6
Format: T20
Structure: Group stages followed by final
Defending champions: Sri Lanka

According to the current form of individual players and teams, we have compiled the following Asia Cup betting tips:
Since the tournament will be held in the UAE, the weather is likely to be sweltering. The pitches are expected to crack, so spinners will play a crucial role in the tournament.
Most matches will be low-to-moderate scoring.
The majority of captains prefer to chase.
It is expected that Babar Azam, Mohammed Rizwan, and Suryakumar Yadav will be consistent performers among the batsmen.
Yuzvendra Chahal, Rashid Khan, and Shaheen Afridi will likely be the bowlers of choice.
This time, it is the Pakistanis who are the strongest side, with an excellent mix of pace and spin throughout their order.
Pakistan would be aiming for their third Asia Cup title, currently ranked 3rd in the ICC T20 rankings.
In big tournaments and pressure situations, the only apparent weakness of the team is its inability to handle nerves.
It is safe to say that the defending champions are among the favorites to win the championship. Recently, the Men in Blue smashed a world record of 12 consecutive T20I wins.
Currently ranked number one in the ICC rankings, India will be aiming for their eighth continental title.
However, their batting lineup has been inconsistent of late. We are concerned about the poor form of marquee players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Rishabh Pant.
The top-ranked Indian T20 batsman at the moment, Suryakumar Yadav is in superb form. Bowlers are left dazed and confused by his wide range of strokes.
The googly and flippers of Yuzvendra Chahal, one of cricket’s cunning spinners, should prove to be deadly, especially on pitch conditions in the UAE.
In the death overs, Ravindra Jadeja’s ability to spin and bat will be vital.
Sri Lanka are currently ranked 8th in the ICC T20 rankings, despite being five-time champions.
The last few months, however, have seen an improvement in their performance.
In the race for the title, they will be considered dark horses.
Bangladesh, runners-up in the last two Asia Cups, have struggled to stay calm during high-pressure knockout games.
In recent years, the team’s T20 record has also been less than stellar.
We think they have slim-to-no chances of winning the title, since they are currently ranked 9th in the ICC T20 rankings.
Afghanistan has been a consistent T20 team. We believe they will not be able to win the tournament due to a lack of bench strength.
Currently ranked 10th in T20Is, Afghanistan do boast a quality bowling attack – centered on Rashid Khan – that can trouble any team.
The tournament schedule has been updated. You can also check out the team squads for the 2023 Asia Cup over at Cricbuzz.

The 2018 Asia Cup was the 14th edition of the tournament, which was played in ODI format in the UAE. The defending champions, Team India, retained their title by defeating Bangladesh by three wickets in the final.
Five full-time members of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) participated: India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. Hong Kong joined later after winning the 2018 qualifiers.
September 2nd marks the start of the tournament, and September 17 marks the final. An update to the schedule is included in the earlier part of this article.

For Asia Cup betting, we’d recommend bet365, Betway, 10CRIC, and Parimatch as the top four bookmakers. It should be noted, however, that the other online betting platforms are equally good and offer the same level of safety and reliability.
There are still a few weeks left in the tournament, so it’s difficult to predict which team will win. According to their current form, Pakistan has a good chance of winning the Asia Cup for the third time. However, we wouldn’t discount India either, since they’re at the moment arguably the best Asian cricket team.
Cricket betting enthusiasts worldwide are looking forward to the 2023 Asia Cup, which will feature top Asian teams. Bookmakers are sure to spoil you with diverse markets and competitive odds on Asia Cup betting. Stay tuned for more updates in the meantime!
